Transition The Bridge From School to Work

Students must be referred to LOVARC by the school, Regional Center or the Department of Rehabilitation. Any age is acceptable if authorized by the transition committee. Over age 18 is preferred if there is to be a work component to the transition program. Behavioral or medical barriers will be reviewed on an individual basis. An individualized transition plan is designed to best suit each student The plan may be as simple as assuring that the student is eligible for Regional Center and Department of Rehabilitation services. The plan may be as complex as half days in school and half days in paid work provided, or arranged for by LOVARC.
