Camp San Luis Obispo, formerly called Camp Merriam, was established in 1928 and is known as the original home of the California National Guard. LOVARC recently assumed operation of the Camp's 16,000 square foot dining facility, which began operations in 2008. 

Full dining service is provided to the Grizzly Youth Academy students, California National Guard soldiers, California Specialized Training Institute students; as well as Camp employees and a wide spectrum of students, tenants, soldiers and members of visiting organizations.
